What makes me tick is that every day is a learning day. Whether it is work, family, home or my favourite sport golf or walking my dog Woody. With work, I enjoy the fact that I have had a varied career from running my own business, PA to General in the Army, Office Manager and now concentrating on Finance (which I have done for over 30 years). I feel this is very important to stimulate the brain in later life and to keep me very active along with the sports. Not so energetic nowadays with the golf, but I’ve done plenty of mountain walking in Bavaria, Rockies in Canada, Scarfell Pike in the UK and plenty of places around the lake district. I played hockey for Scunthorpe and the Army, Badminton for Army and county golf. My family are a big part of my life and we are very close. I have twin boys aged 28 and my first granddaughter was born Mar 2017. Life is for living and not watching it go by.
