Provide a female thread in concrete for bolting fixtures to or for suspending threaded rods .These anchors have the advantage of a shallow embedment depth avoiding deep holes and undue contact with the rebar. The anchor is inserted into the drilled hole and expanded by hammering the internal expansion cone with a setting tool. Also called Drop-in Anchors, Non-Drill Anchors, Red Heads, HKDs etc
