Thread Cutting Anchors

Thread cutting anchors differ from other anchor types in that they work by cutting a thread in the base material. These specially hardened anchors have a number of distinct benefits. The range includes a selection of ETA approved anchors.

  • Positive and full anchorage over the full embedment length giving high loads
  • No expansion stresses – allow for reduced edge distances and anchor spacings
  • Work in numerous substrates including concrete, brick, block, stone and wood
  • Fast installation – through fixings with reduced drilling sizes
  • Shallow embedment – reduced hole depth means less chance of hitting rebar
  • Removable and reusable

Always remember –

To ensure compliance with BS 8539:2012 Code of Practice it is critical due diligence is taken over the selection of thread-cutting anchors, supply, installation and testing of post-installed anchors into concrete or masonry. Without following best practice, how can you demonstrate that the structure you have installed can take the service load applied to it and that the supports and fixings are fit for purpose?
