We are looking for a talented and driven Business Development Executive to join our successful Sales team.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for supporting new business sales results by prioritising and nurturing leads, researching new opportunities, securing appointments for Business Development Managers, on-boarding new customers and general account management.  Ensuring that delivering an industry-leading level of customer service is at the heart of all our Sales activities.  

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead Nurturing – working with Marketing to identify new business leads: conducting thorough customer research; establishing and maintaining contact with prospects primarily via telephone and email. Pipeline management – ensuring that a steady supply of appropriate ‘warmed’ leads is maintained whilst identifying ways to improve lead conversion rates.
  • BDM Support – booking customer appointments, preparing reports/presentations, system administration, attending customer meetings as required
  • On-Boarding – Assisting customer service colleagues and a specified account manager with the on boarding of new customers.
  • Key Account Management – Building rapport and maintaining regular contact with key customers. Promptly responding to sales enquiries and quotation requests.

In order to make our shortlist for the Business Development Executive position, you must:

  • Have a proven track record of supporting new business sales, gained in a fast-paced (ideally B2B) environment
  • Be passionate about providing a great customer service experience
  • Be a confident and capable communicator who can build strong relationships with all key stakeholders
  • Construction industry knowledge would be advantageous, but is not essential as training will be provided
  • Our ideal candidate will also have experience of working with structured sales methodologies and have the ability to coach others in this
