Data Centre - Wolverhampton

Data Centre in Wolverhampton. MIDFIX designed and manufactured the Si-Framo Support System

Here’s an interesting fact, we produce 2.5 quintillion bytes* of data every single day. This is only going to increase with the growth of the Internet of Things (IoT). Each time we ask search engines for answers, we are adding to the data stockpile. Have you ever wondered where your digital data is stored?

Somewhere, likely to be on the outskirts of town, is a collection of tightly controlled network servers containing all sorts of data we use whenever we interact online. This building is known as a data centre and there are hundreds of them all over the UK.

Data centres are utilised to store and access digital data. The servers are spread across dozens of racks and connected by miles of wiring and cables. They seamlessly transfer an infinite amount of data, making it possible for us to do so much online.

Our engineering design and fabricating team have designed and manufactured collectively miles of steel frame supports which have been widely used in a number of data and technology centres across the country. We have used Si-Framo support systems, Unistrut, fire collars, catenary wire, and all types of associated accessories and fixings.
